Young Green Voices: Award Presentation:  The ceremony was held at St Paul’s School in the school hall on Thursday 2nd July at 6:30 pm.  Certificate, designed by Sarah and printed by LBH, were prepared for all the children who took part in the project and presented to those who were able to attend the ceremony.  All our local Councillors attended and presented certificates.  Cllr Reid was unable to attend.  Nicola and Cindy from Hounslow’s Waste and Recycling Team were welcome attendees.

9

New member of Waste and Recycling team at Hounslow: Alex Rigge, Waste and Recycling Officer (Waste) has recently been appointed and is in the process of arranging for some posters to be produced for future use in the noticeboard. We have invited him to our next meeting and, in addition to us telling him what we do, we have asked him to bring us up to date with the Council’s plans.  In particular, we have been receiving mixed messages through the media about what happens to plastics collected for recycling and would be grateful for details of Hounslow’s solutions.
