Events: Brentford Festival 2009 was held in Boston Manor Park on Sunday, 6 September. A most successful event!  It was good weather and our pitch was in a sheltered position, out of any wind! So the gazebo stayed upright! Paul’s worms were stars of the show, as usual, with the ducks an excellent supporting act.  We all agreed that this is an excellent community event which should continue to be held annually.  Thanks to Friends of Boston Manor Park. AGM: November 10th it is.  Age Concern premises confirmed by Rukmini Speakers; Douglas invited Lord Stern of Brentford, Kt, FBA to attend but he has declined as he will be out of the country at that time. Natasha Epstein has agreed to give us an update on LBH’s Waste and Recycling programme and has asked Jim Brennan, the new Director of West London Waste to come and talk to us. Patti to confirm. We have also secured Dan Brook from Space Waye to describe their activities and what happens to the waste delivered there.  Committee members have agreed their contributions to the refreshments, wine, food etc., but other donations welcome!

Invitations to be sent to all Councillors, our members, YGV teachers at the primary schools, Council Recycling Officers,
