1 Minutes of last meeting agreed.
2 Apologies for Absence: Michelle Aspinall-Baker, Douglas Benford, Virginia Fassnidge, Sara Ward, Paul Richens
3 Noticeboard: Diana will contact schools again about their future participation. In the meantime we should change the current display soon. Topic to be decided. We discussed DL /PH
4 Canal side Recycling: Still no news. Remind LBH. PH
5 Give and Take Day: Definitely agreed in principle thatBrentford Dock will hold such an event but it is on hold for the moment. Hugh will keep us posted. HP
6 Brentford Sustainable Community Strategy: Thisis explained at: http://www.brentfordtw8.com/default.asp?section=info&page=communitycouncil001.htm.  Kath will update at a future meeting. KR
7 St George’s Day Celebrations: There will be an event in Market Place, Brentford, on Friday 23rd April from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We have agreed not to have our stall there but to attend as individuals As many of us as possible will meet up there at about 4:00.

Ivybridge Estate are holding an event, 12:00 – 4:00 on Saturday, 24th April. All are welcome!

8 Claudia Bartosik and E. Cain Gerrod: Following their attendance at our last meeting, Hugh reports that their Brentford project is making progressand he will keep us updated about this and how we may be able to cooperate in the future. HP
9 Nick Ferriday, Ealing Friends of the Earth, gave a talk to a group of ladies at Age Concern, Brentford last month which was very well attended and their next project will be a collage with the subject of biodiversity. Rukmini will report progress. RW
10 Used Cooking oil and fat: Question was raised: How to dispose of/recycle these products. Solidified grease can be wrapped in newspaper and put with food waste but liquid? We should request information from the LBH recycling team.
11 Caterers Food Waste: It is very disturbing that food and packaging left over after functions is not collected for recycling. After the local elections we should write drawing the Council’s attention to this and requesting action. Draft paragraphs are requested which will be discussed at the June Meeting. ALL
