New Homeowners Packs:The Waste and Recycling Team has been discussing the feasibility of producing a folder, similar to the one brag had, to be distributed borough-wide.We have confirmed that we wish to be included in their discussions and Cindy will let us have details of the meetings. No further information at the present. ALL
BRAG web site:We invited Kath to quote for doing the work to update the site and she thought £300-500 for a couple of days work would probably complete this.  How long it takes would depend on whether someone would be prepared to volunteer to go through the  current website  page by page, checking all the links and whether all the organisations and phone numbers etc. are still correct and then supplying contact information/descriptions for the new ones. She pointed out that if it is only the content which will change then updating the data won’t take too much time, it’s finding the data in the first place. So we agreed that we, the committee and any other member who would like to help, will each go through a section of the web site, updating where necessary. We will discuss progress at the next meeting. ALL
Membership: Our membership list is now up to date. PH DB
Noticeboard: New topic to be agreed but discussion included promotion for “Love Food, Hate Waste” and Furniture recycling to promote the National Heart Foundation’s new shop in Hounslow. We will also ask Transition Town if they would like to give us any publicity material to display on their behalf. CG HP ALL
Transition Town: The next Transition Brentford steering meeting will take place on Tuesday 19th July at the Green Dragon Lane housing co-op. For any further information, please email: ALL
Hounslow Recycling Team: food waste scheme in schools: All primary schools in the Borough have now been recruited to the Food Waste scheme and the equipment has been delivered to the majority. CG

Hounslow Recycling Team: Response to Recycle Week, considering the lack of publicity due to cost cuts, was very good.  Next event for the Recycling Team: Brentford Festival, Boston Manor Park, 12 – 5pm 4th September.BRAG members are reminded that we will also be there and all support for the Festival (which is usually  well attended) will be appreciated. ALL
WEST LONDON WASTE PLAN:We now have a hard copy of the West London Waste Plan document and will trawl this for more ideas. When the committee have had an opportunity to study this document we will discuss asking Sarah Dickinson to come back to talk about these actions and how we may be of assistance. She would also welcome our thoughts about their website and anything else which could be included so please have a look at and send your comments. ALL
Outer London Fund: Andrew reported that within a London Borough of Hounslow Bid to The Outer London Fund (A mayor of London initiative) some funding was proposed for local social enterprise Cultivate London to develop an “edible bed” or similar in Market Place, Brentford. If the funding application is successful this would be refreshed monthly to provide a point of interest in Market Place. Andrew will keep us advised of progress. AD
