Minutes of Meeting held in the Directors’ Meeting Room,
Brentford Dock
on Tuesday 3 April 2012

Minutes of last meeting agreed.

Give and Take Day, Brentford Dock: Remains in abeyance  


BRAG web site: Hugh said he would look into the possibility of some funding to cover the cost of maintaining and improving the website.Everyone please have a good look at the website, checking where possible. There are probably still some out of date telephone numbers etc.  and submit any updates and amendments to Kath as soon as possible. ALL


Noticeboard: Hugh will add the new poster advertising the compost give away day at Hounslow Heath on 12 May from 10:00 to 14:00. Thank you Hugh! HP


BRAG NEWSLETTER: Now done and distributed – with the help of Andrew and the Docking Station and other willing volunteers!  It is excellent – and the prompt delivery meant people came to the Swishing event.


Swishing Event: This was held on Saturday 28 April and was definitely a success!  Should we repeat this,  we agreed should try to include evening clothes, children’s and possibly men’s. Our very many thanks to Andrew for organising the Docking Station and Kaz who looked after the cafe and us! Also thanks to Kate, Sarah and their colleague (whose name I can’t remember! P)   for their invaluable help, assistance and guidance. Really appreciated.


Composting Workshop: Funding is being sought by LBH and if it can be provided Brentford Dock Management Committee will be willing to host another.    Further news at a later date.


Brentford picnic: Please keep in mind that, as Brentford Carnival 2012 has been cancelled, we will join the picnic which will take place in Boston Manor Park, all participants providing their own refreshments, on Sunday afternoon 2nd September.  Details to be finalised at the August meeting.


WLWA: Sarah Ellis is arranging a training session for LFHW, specifically how to train up other people to get the messages out there (ie get some community champions in place).  WRAP are happy to deliver the training and have given a date of 18 May. It’s a half day of training so possibly 10 am to 1 pm. Any volunteers to go on this training? If so, please let Sarah or a brag committee member know. Venue hasn’t been decided yet but will probably be in Hounslow. ALL


Funding: Hugh is making application for funding to help towards maintenance and improvement of the website, participation in events, the cost of producing and delivering the newsletter, composting workshops and promoting brag.
