|4||Cotton Bag Project: Of the grant we received for the Bag Project and Newsletter we have £1700 for the remainder of this project. For the next edition of the Newsletter, Hugh has estimated that the cost of producing, printing and delivering 5,000 single A4 pages could be covered by about £600 so we will be able to afford to order 600 more bags with carrying pouches. The estimate for these is £750.||HP PH|
|5||BRENTFORD MARKET: This is still a success and we will try to ascertain a date when there is a vacancy and there are a number of Braggers available to help. Louisa has suggested some items made from recycled products which we could display/demonstrate. Friends of the Earth are planning to take a stall in April for various promotions they have so please give them all the help and support you can!||PH VF|
|7||BRAG Newsletter: Articles and pictures have been received and Catharine has done a tremendous job overcoming the challenge of a new programming technique! Drafts will be sent to committee members for final proofing and then the spring edition will be ready to go.||ALL|
|8||Free Tidy Town Bulky Waste Service: Louisa reported on the free service from LBH from 1st April; Large items of household waste to dispose of, such as mattresses, furniture and white goods are all eligible for a Tidy Town bulky waste collection and from April the service will be free. Each household can receive two free collections per year, above two free collections per year the charge will be £35 per collection. All collections are limited to 5 items, each additional item being chargeable at £7. To be eligible for this service, the applicant must be the registered council tax payer and the item(s) must be eligible for collection. To check eligibility, please see the Hounslow Council website. To book a Tidy Town bulky waste collection, please contact 020 8583 5555.
She also reminded us that residents may also wish to donate reusable items of furniture that are in good condition to the Hounslow Furniture Recycling Project, who will collect items free and make them available to residents on low incomes to purchase from a showroom in Isleworth. BRAG endorse this as it has both social and environmental benefits, so for donations of furniture to the project, please contact them on 020 8814 2225.
