1 Minutes of last meeting agreed.
2 Apologies for Absence: Michelle Aspinall-Baker, Paul Richens, Kath Richardson, Douglas Benford, Andrew Dakers, Louisa Perkins, Thomas Burgess, LBH
3 CHANGE OF VENUE: Hugh informed us of future refurbishment of the Directors’ Meeting Room which means that we will no longer be able to use it. Brentford Dock Management Committee to be thanked for their generosity over the last few years allowing us to avail ourselves of the premises at no cost. Hugh, please advise who to be written to. In the meantime, he has found alternative accommodation in the Toll House at Brentford Lock – Sam Thomas to be thanked for this privilege. HP
4 Noticeboard: New display: BRAG NEWS. We will we still need new ideas for the noticeboard even though the recycling site will no longer be ALL
5 Cotton Bag Project: The latest batch are stored in Hugh’s care, for which we are very grateful. We will be giving them away at Brentford Festival but we should all make every effort to help to distribute them at other events. ALL
6 BRENTFORD MARKET: Unfortunately, there are no vacancies on dates which we can do. We will try again for after the Festival. We would still like suggestions for a theme for our stall. ALL
7 BRAG Newsletter: Distribution is not yet complete but will be within the next few weeks. Copies are in the library. ALL
8 BRENTFORD FESTIVAL: This will be on Sunday, 7th September in Blondin Park, as last year. Please make sure the date is in your diaries, further information in due course. ALL
9 GRANT: Now that our current projects are complete the monitoring process which is a requirement of the granting of funds from Community First must be undertaken. Information requested from the Treasurer. Hugh, with any help required from Patti, will complete the process.
10 AGM: It is time to arrange a date and to request nominations for speakers. Three Tuesdays in November are suggested: 4th, 11th and 18th. Please try to keep all these free and let us know if there is a possible clash with any other events in Brentford – football matches, Christmas Fairs etc. We have provisionally invited Jamie Quinn to tell us about his training course in the USA with Al Gore earlier this year but if anyone knows another person who would be interesting for us, please let us have details.
