3 Noticeboard and questions for LBHList of questions which was sent to Councillors last month was also taken up personally with Steve Curran at his last surgery on 18th June. He said he would speak to the Recycling Team and arrange for someone to contact us.  July has now passed and nothing heard. We will prepare a follow up note and see what happens.  Patti also tasked (herself) to contact the Regional Manager of Morrisons. PH HP
4 Marie Curie Coffee Mornings: These continue to be held successfully every month in the Brentford Dock club room to raise funds. The next one will be on Monday 15th August from 10:30 to 12:30.  Excellent cakes!  Please attend if you can a very good cause to support. ALL
5 Soup Lunches: Also held at Brentford Dock club room on the 4th Thursday of the month from 1:00 to 2:30, next one 25th August. Very good value, homemade soup and bread £3.
6 Where does recycling go? We shall still try to make a visit to a recycling plant used by LBH when we hear there is anyone still on the recycling team there. In the meantime, the LBH website has quite comprehensive information about recycling and recycled items. PH ALL
7 Recycling in Flats: Since nothing has been heard from the recycling team or the ward councillors we will pursue recycling facilities at Brook Court and Braemar Court in Brook Road South, and Downside Walk as soon as we can. PH and Cttee
8 Events: The Ivybridge Fun Day on 16th July was a GREAT success!  The weather was fine and Wendy was tremendous! She encouraged a number of young people to stencil BRAG bags, an old sheet and a lot of paper! (Note: the paints will need replenishing!) (These activities can be replicated at Brentford Festival.)

Julie Brooker invited us to participate in the Clayponds Estate Fun Day which will be held on Sunday 7th August from 12:00 to 4:00 pm but, unfortunately, no Braggers are available.

ALL
9 Brentford Festival: This will be held on Sunday 4th September in Blondin Park, as last year.

Usual plan: Gazebo, table, banners, stencils and paints, BRAG bags, other materials for painting on (any ideas?  Old tee shirts?). Team should aim to be on site (maps will be forthcoming) by 10:30/11:00 am to set up.

ALL
10 Disability Network Hounslow: On Saturday 20 August (weather permitting) Disability Network Hounslow is holding a bring-your-own picnic at their allotment from 1 – 4pm, and would love to see you there. The allotment is at the Friends Meeting House in Quaker Lane, London Road, Isleworth TW7 5AZ (next to the Green School). For further information contact virginia@disabilitynetworkhounslow.org
11 Canal clear up: Before the meeting commenced, Peter Meakin introduced himself and outlined his plan for a clean up along the canal path from the bridge near the GSK HQ to the Lock on August 29th, Bank Holiday Monday. He needs as many volunteers as possible and is arranging for publicity in as many shops and restaurants as possible in the area. Some of these businesses will be offering discounts to the volunteers on the day.  Watch out for the posters around Brentford Lock very soon! His contact details: meakinpeter@gmail.com
