Green Screen, a nonpolitical film group open to all, is screening GrowthBusters, Hooked on Growth on 17 September, at Ham Library. The documentary tackles serious issues with good humour, challenging the status quo and exploring how we can become a sustainable civilisation so that our children can survive and thrive. Among other things, the film asks why a strong economy is more important to us than a survivable planet, and why population conversations are so difficult to have.When: Sunday, 17 September 2017. Doors open at 5.15pm; the film starts at 5.30pm. Run-time is 54 minutes, after which everyone is welcome to stay for a discussion about the topics raised in the film.
