6 Restart Project:   The next event will be held on Sunday 1st July at Cathja on the High Street.  Please bring small items of electrical/electronic equipment which are faulty, or not working properly, and our knowledgeable volunteers will see if they can fix them.  Information notices will be posted in the library and on the BRAG and TW8 websites. Further information about the Restart Project may be found at: https://therestartproject.org/RestartParty/ ALL VF
7 Waste Not Festival: A “Waste Not” festival, promoted by Cathja, will be held in Brentford Town Square at the Market on Sunday 29th July.   The idea is to bring together groups and individuals who can “create something from waste, share how “waste” can be viewed as useful, repair and recycle, upcycle, educate, enlighten, engage”. BRAG has agreed to participate so can you please think of topics for us to recommend and/or publicise and email ideas to Patti at pattihorsnell@freeuk.com as soon as possible. ALL
8 Southall Lane Recycling Centre: We have expressed our disappointment to LBH for not being able to attend the Open Day a little while ago due to such short notice and asking for another chance.  No reply has yet been received but Guy Lambert has suggested that we communicate with him – after the election! – and he will see if he can help.  It would be particularly useful if we have visited this facility before the Waste Not event to be held in July.  Patti to contact Guy. PH
9 Brentford Festival 2018: This will be held as usual on the first Sunday in September i.e. 2nd, in Blondin Park. We discussed at length whether or not we should participate – we have taken a stand every year since it began – and decided that it wouldn’t do any harm to have a break this year and we can take the opportunity to enjoy the festival at our leisure! ALL
10 Disability Network Hounslow: Disability Network Hounslow are very pleased to have reached the crowdfunding target for their allotment in Isleworth. Many thanks to all who contributed. They’re planning some open days so that members of the public can enjoy the peaceful garden and maybe join in the work and taste the produce. VF
11 August Meeting: The meeting scheduled for August will be held on WEDNESDAY 8TH and not Tuesday 7th. ALL

NEXT MEETING: Tuesday 3 July 2018
7pm at the Toll House, Brentford Lock.
