2018 London Rivers Week starts 23 June

London Rivers Week will take place again this year, from 23 June to 1 July. The theme is Valuing Water, and the launch event will be held on Sunday, 24 June, at Ladywell Fields in Lewisham from 12pm to 3pm.

Alongside a series of guided walks, there’s also the opportunity to join film screenings, eel monitoring, clean-ups, river restoration, a dragonfly walk, kayaking, invasive species removal, fish surveys and much more.

London Rivers Week was launched in June 2016 by the London Rivers Restoration Group on behalf of the Catchment Partnerships in London (CPiL) to highlight river restorations. The campaign aims to inspire the public to celebrate all of London’s rivers and the many projects taking place to rewild and renaturalise them and to connect them with their local communities.
