8 Disability Network/Open House 2018: On Saturday 22 September Brentford and Isleworth Quaker Meeting House, Quakers Lane, London Road, Isleworth TW7 5AZ, is taking part in Open House London.  Weather permitting, visitors will be welcome to visit The Disability Network, Hounslow, allotment. 10 Refuse and Recycling: A lively discussion took place about the mixed messages we seem to be receiving about what happens to the plastics collected for recycling (is it dealt with in the UK or sent abroad, is it incinerated or go to landfill etc.) Also, could there be a way for the council to collect cans separately as they are so valuable for recycling, for example by providing separate bins with an aperture suitable for drinks cans.  Perhaps even include plastic drinks bottles? Request information from Guy Lambert, Council member for recycling.  Also, ask about his recent visit to the other recycling plant and an update on collections from flats above shops. PH GL
11 Annual General Meeting: We discussed a date and Tuesday 13th November was suggested.  To be discussed further and final decision to be made. Ask Hugh if the Brentford Dock residents’ meeting room might be available for the occasion.

NEXT MEETING: Tuesday 2nd October 2018
7pm at the Toll House, Brentford Lock.
