STARTING THIS FRIDAY, 6th March: Cathja’s Community Hub at St.Paul’s Church hall behind Morrison’s, Brentford. We need you the community to come and eat, drink, join in activities and be merry 😁👍! Open to everyone on the first Friday of each month from 5-8pm, food with Joanna – fitness and first aid with Tania – board games with Alice – maybe some open mic – sewing with Mary – Fiona entertaining any kids. Do you have a skill to offer? Want to help out? Come and see us and please share with others who may be interested, isolated, lonely. See you there?
Dr Bike sessions will restart in the near future at Brentford Market from 10-1 on the first Sunday of every month. Other craft sessions continue on Cathja’s Barge.
|4||Great British Spring Clean: Councillor Guy Lambert will recommence this activity in the spring on the third Sunday of each month from 10:00 am at varying locations to litter pick. Watch this space! If there is an area you think could be improved with some action, please let us – and Guy – know.||ALL|
|5||Future Actions: We discussed what BRAG might focus on during the coming year. We would like to hear constructive recommendations/suggestions from anyone. We must certainly continue to promote and encourage recycling etc. and support Hounslow’s contribution to the Action Plan re. Climate emergency. Projects will be posted on the website.
We did discuss a few ideas – Hounslow Council has launched a public consultation on its draft Climate Emergency Action Plan following approval from the Council’s Cabinet on 21st January. Friends of the Earth are already participating and we agreed we will join in where we can.
|6||Litter bins: This subject should not be overlooked. A great deal of cash can be raised from recycling cans when separated from general rubbish. Plastic bottles should also be separated so that they can be disposed of safely and turned into something else (e.g. fuel). The improvement and design of special litter bins should be nationally encouraged. We will continue to pursue.||ALL|

The project will start on 17 March and run for 10 weeks. firstname.lastname@example.org|
