The call is out for Londoners of all ages and experience, to get involved in the Big Dig Day on Saturday 21st March 2015. The day will see thousands of Londoners and many more people across the country don their wellies and get stuck in at a local food growing garden.
The Big Dig Day is the flagship community event of Capital Growth London’s network of over 2 000 food growing gardens located on roofs, in parks and tucked away in hidden corners between houses, by canals and on urban farms. Are you a community organisation or charity? Own your building or a tenant? Want to increase your income? Create a new service? If so, LVSC and Energise Barnet will be delivering three FREE workshops; details below.
YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO:
· Reduce energy bills and generate your own energy
· Create a new income stream
· Identify and refer residents in fuel poverty
· Learn about Government ‘green’ incentives
· Become leaders in helping London’s transition to a low carbon city.
The workshop you attend will help your organisation improve its energy efficiency and become a behaviour change leader in your community. It will focus on potential actions that you and your members can take to reduce energy bills and their carbon footprint. And, organisations can also sign up to a FREE Eco-audit delivered by City Bridge Trust (subject to owning their building and meeting other eligibility criteria).

The Hounslow Town Centre Neighbourhood Forum Group has put together a proposal on the revival of Hounslow. It is a locally produced plan with local ideas. They welcome you to view it at:http://madeinhounslow.wordpress.com/
